In the early 1980's, the St. Louis Youth Soccer Association (SLYSA) approached Anheuser-Busch, Inc. with an idea for an athletic facility that would provide thousands of youth from the St. Louis area with a place to play and learn the most popular sport in the world - Soccer. With the support of Anheuser-Busch and numerous other corporations and businesses in the St. Louis area, in 1982 the St. Louis Soccer Park became a reality.
In November 1985, Anheuser-Busch purchased the facility with the intention to improve the park and make it one of the finest soccer facilities in the world. Since then, Anheuser-Busch has continued to strive for that goal, and in the process, has created one of the best multi-use centers in the region.
During a construction period of over 30 months, workers improved virtually every aspect of the park as well as adding new features. In 1996, the name was officially changed to Anheuser-Busch Conference and Sports center. The list of improvements and additions can best be described by the one word which appropriately describes the Anheuser-Busch philosophy - Quality
